Vero Beach is getting its first multi-specialty VA clinic
The new Indian River VA Clinic on 37th Street is opening in phases through summer 2026, so local veterans no longer have to drive out of the county for specialty care.
Veterans in Indian River County are getting a major upgrade. The West Palm Beach VA Healthcare System is opening the Indian River VA Clinic at 777 37th Street in Vero Beach — the county's first multi-specialty VA clinic.
It's rolling out in phases. Physical and occupational therapy and chiropractic care opened first in March. May added audiology, cardiology, dermatology, neurology, podiatry, prosthetics, pulmonary, urology, and blood draws. Optometry and dental come later, with full operations expected by summer 2026.
The whole point is to cut down on the long drives. Until now, many local veterans had to travel outside the county — often all the way to West Palm Beach — for specialty appointments.
For the thousands of veterans on the Treasure Coast, having this kind of care in Vero is a real quality-of-life win, especially for older vets who shouldn't have to make a two-hour round trip for a cardiology check-up.
