PSL's new BMX track at Tradition Regional Park is a world first

Port St. Lucie is building the world's first fully concrete, adaptive BMX facility — and it's opening this summer.

Port St. Lucie is building what officials say is the world's first fully concrete, adaptive BMX track, and it's taking shape right now at the new Tradition Regional Park.

The 110-acre park at 13120 SW Tradition Parkway — about a quarter-mile from the Fern Lake Roundabout — has been under construction since last fall and is expected to open this summer.

The BMX facility isn't just a race track. It includes a competition-grade race track, a pump track, and a bicycle safety learning course designed to teach kids how to ride safely. Unlike traditional BMX facilities built only for competitive racing, this one is also open to scooters, skateboards, and other wheeled activities.

The city has also secured an agreement with U.S. BMX. Pending council approval, the track will be able to host sanctioned national BMX events — putting Tradition on the map for competitive cycling.

This is a big deal for the 772. A world-first facility in our backyard, attached to a massive regional park that's going to become a major community hub. Tradition continues to evolve from a master-planned community into something that feels like its own city.
