The largest Costco facility in Florida just opened in PSL — 1.8 million square feet
Costco's massive distribution center is now operational in Port St. Lucie. 500+ jobs, 200 acres, serving every Costco in Florida.
Costco's 1.8-million-square-foot distribution center in Port St. Lucie is officially operational as of March 2026, and the scale is hard to comprehend.
The facility sits on 200 acres and serves as the distribution hub for all 32 Costco Wholesale locations in Florida. It's the largest Costco facility in the state and one of the largest in the Southeast.
More than 500 people now work there, making it one of the biggest single employers to land in St. Lucie County in years. These are warehouse and logistics jobs with Costco's famously solid pay and benefits — starting wages well above the industry average.
But here's what everyone really wants to know: does this mean a Costco retail store is coming too?
The answer is... maybe. City leaders have unanimously approved a land deal that could bring a 170,000-square-foot Costco retail store and gas station to Southern Grove. But Costco hasn't confirmed a construction start date yet.
If the retail store happens, combined with the distribution center, Port St. Lucie would become Costco's biggest footprint in Florida. For a city that people used to joke had 'nothing but strip malls,' that's a serious flex.
